Do we charge advisory fees?

At Orton Financial, we believe in fair and transparent pricing. While we may charge an advisory fee to guide you through the mortgage process, not every transaction incurs a fee.

We’ll always provide a clear breakdown of any fees upfront—whether you contact us via web chat, phone, or email—so you know exactly what to expect before proceeding

Do you charge a fee?

We do charge a fee, which is specific to your circumstances. Please see our FAQ for a guide on how much we might charge for your transaction. For a bespoke quote, please contact us. 

When do you charge any fees?

We usually charge up to £250 on full application and the remainder of any fees on mortgage offer.

We don’t charge upfront to have an initial consultantion. A full quote will be provided in advance, including any lender -fees.

How much do you charge for a purchase?

Our standard fee for a purchase transaction is £500. The fee may increase, or decrease depending on your overall requirements.

Our fees are lower for loans over £500,000. 

How much do you charge for a re-mortgage?

Our standard fee for a re-mortgage is £125-£250. This may vary depending on your exact requirements.

Do you charge a fee to switch me with my current lender?

No. If we review your circumtance and decide the best option is to remain with your current lender, we will complete the switch for you without charging a fee.

I'm borrowing over £1m

We typically don’t charge a fee for loans in excess of £1m (singular loan).

We may offer a discount if multiple transactions are completed at the same time

How do you charge portfolio landlords?

We seek to build a long-term relationship with our portfolio landlords. Please contact us with your requirements. For established portfolio clients we typically don’t charge for a re-mortgage, and charge a small fee for a purchase.

Do you charge a higher fee for non-residents?

Yes. We typically charge a higher fee where any of the applicants are not resident in the UK.
